Yuba Blue Fieldtrip

• Meet at the Rock Shop between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. to sign the standard field trip forms.
• Caravan will leave the shop promptly at 8:30 a.m. Do not be late!
• The destination is the turnoff from the bridge on Highway 20 in the Loma Rica general area. We will travel Highway 70 South to Marysville and take the Highway 20 East exit towards Grass Valley.
• Travel about 15 miles to the first bridge over the Yuba River.
• Cross over the bridge, exit and follow the road under the bridge.
• We will be collecting rocks very close to Highway 20 from the Yuba River.
• If weather and time permit, we may even be able to visit the rock quarry and see some exciting Yuba Blue carvings as well as the largest rock tumbler in the world!
